Just before Christmas I adopted a new skincare routine, I had a complete overhaul which I don’t usually do but for once in my life – it had an amazing effect! My skin has put me through a lot of sh*t throughout the years so I feel I’m due an a-ha moment.
I had a sensational facial but as my therapist Nuala said, it takes a good facial and a good home care routine. I was kindly invited to Deciem’s new store in Edinburgh where I was gifted some items and my skin has thanked me for them ever since [thoughts are all my own].
So here’s what I’ve been using and it’s been making me seriously dig my reflection every morning.
NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum: I apply this after cleansing. This serum helps to trigger your skin to repair itself which in-turn helps it ‘act’ younger by producing more collagen at its lowest depths which subsequently helps skin to look younger on the surface. Pretty cool right?
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair maximises the skin’s natural nighttime renewal and includes Hyaluronic Acid, nature’s “moisture magnet,” to help lock in moisture. So it’s keeps your skin ticking and glowy. It also is the ONE for tricking people into thinking you had a full 8hr sleep when really you had a few glasses of Pinot with the gals and sang Boyzone songs to 1am.
Niod Non Acid Acid Precursor is a non-acidic alternative to acid-based epidermal resurfacing. Instead of using direct acids like AHA/BHA or retinoids, NAAP uses fermentation bio-derivatives and amino isolates that act as precursors to skin-compatible acids, encouraging visible radiance and visible surface regularity. Bit of a mouthful but it basically encourages your skin to pick up its lazy wee a** and make some collagen so you don’t need to run to a doctor’s office.
Clinique Moisture Surge helps skin create its own internal water source to continually re-hydrate itself. Then locks in all that moisture for an endlessly plump, dewy, healthy-looking glow. It’s so lightweight but perfect for these winter months.
This combo has helped to plump my skin, keep it hydrated and fight ageing. Niod is a complicated lil brand to get your head around so I’d recommend going to speak to a consultant so you get a routine that works for you.
Have you tried any of these products? If so let me know!
